Whāia te tika, te karakia pai, te whakapono, te aroha, te manawanui, te ngākau māhaki (Timoti, 5, 6;11). Our school’s vision centres "Whāia te Tika" - A journey in pursuit of personal excellence. Hato Pāora College is a boarding school for Māori boys, which was founded by the Society of Mary and opened in 1948. The College’s success with its young students is linked to high standards, values and expectations, which are reinforced in the daily school life and serve to shape the uniqueness of the school, in that it seeks to develop our mission of growing good boys into great young men - Nau mai, taitamatāne, kia autaia tangata ai.
